Single Site vs. Multiple Site

If our primary Site (main medical center) is currently 'Global' and we have a small external clinic that will be using only (4) Vocera badges we are considering making it a Department knowing multicast will not work between our Primary Site & this external clinic.

The majority of users/devices & access points will change at the main medical center while the external clinic will be static with any changes to these items.

If we decide to make this external clinic its own Site can we maintain our Primary Site as 'Global' while creating a new Site for this external clinic or do we need to create another Site for the main medical center? This will require a bit more configuration for Telephony as well.

We do know IT will need to set up an ACL at the external Site as they'll have a different IP range than Global. But they do have a dedicated connection between the main medical center & the external clinic.

@kenneth.erickson (Customer) You can keep your main medical center as the existing “Global” site and create a new site for the external clinic, there’s no need to redesign the main site.

Since the clinic is on a different network and multicast won’t work between locations, it’s best to set it up as a separate site.

This will need a bit of extra setup (like telephony and network access), but because the clinic is small, it should be easy to manage. Please let us know if you need any further information.
