david.armstrong (Customer) asked a question.

In the Dropped Calls report, what does dropReason actually mean?

I am looking for more detail behind the dropReason values.

They seem to be either "Caller Link Failed" or "Receiver Link Failed"

How are those failures being determined?

How do we dig deeper to troubleshoot those?

@david.armstrong (Customer) In Vocera Analytics, dropReason indicates which side of the call lost connectivity to the Voice Server: a) Caller Link Failed - Caller’s device lost connection (e.g., Wi-Fi drop or device offline) b) Receiver Link Failed- Receiver’s device lost connection under similar conditions. This is determined based on which endpoint stops communicating with the Voice Server unexpectedly, typically due to network interruptions or connectivity issues, rather than an intentional disconnect.
