Can the announcement to a badge user when called from a Cisco phone be turned off or made generic?

We recently upgraded from a very old version and now the call announce from a Cisco phone appears to be using the ASCII display field to announce the calls. Users don't want the longer announcements and would like to go back to "will you accept a call from a phone". Is this possible

The Cisco Call Manager can control what information it sends us about the caller. You should be able to remove the info that tells us who the call is from. Then the Genie should just read out the message you want. But this could break other phone numbers if there are certain situations where they need called ID, e.g. a user who relies on the Direct Access feature over a phone would now have to log in when they call, they wouldn't be automatically recognized.

The Caller Info options that can be changed in VSTG can be found here: Vocera Voice Server Telephony Configuration Guide

gheasley (Customer) Thank you for your patience. Unfortunately, the answer is no- this setting only controls the Caller ID information that Vocera sends to telephony systems. It doesn’t affect the information they send to us or how our systems process it. Hope this helps. If you need any further assistance, please feel free to reach out.
