I found the answer (sort of) in the instructions for the C1000 Firmware update to 1.6.0.104. It states that the EnableHotword property has been changed to false. It would appear that the launch firmware has it enabled by default. Please feel free to close this case.

Can you advise what version of firmware you are using? I want to make sure we provide accurate information based on the firmware release.

@erniedewolf (Customer) You should be able to user the DND button for voice deactivation with C1000, Minibadge firmware version 1.3.56, please see this publication for further reference.

Let me know if you have any other questions we can help with or if I misunderstood your question.

@erniedewolf (Customer) I did talk to our team on this, the version of firmware you are using is the launch firmware. We have made several improvements with the latest release 1.6.0.108. You can get this by creating a case with our support team.

You can read over some of the new functionality we added here, but you can see we added a "wake word" that will allow you to wake up Vocera Minibadge with a selected phrase. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the information. I looked over the properties file for the C1000 badge in our system and did not find the C1 EnableHotword line. I can only believe that either I tripped it using one of the properties I copied from the B3000N file or they a coming from the factory enabled. It has been requested that this feature be turned off. I would guess that the property file would then read C1 DisableHotword.

I would definitely advise to put in a case already, our engineers have more access to investigate the issue and troubleshoot. I would love to hear the end resolve though.
